sowing seeds of hope in the community

Join us for prayer together ...

prayer hands

  • Every Saturday morning, at 8:30am
  • On Monday mornings at 10:00am (monthly) to pray specifically for our church leaders - next meeting on 2nd September 2019. (Contact Andy Draycott for venue details)
  • Monthly prayer day, 7:00am to 9:00pm. The church centre will be open for people to come and go throughout the day, which will be split into sessions with different prayer themes covering the various ministries of the church. Everyone is then encouraged to come together in the evening to pray together as we seek God to move afresh in Stoneleigh Baptist Church and in the local community. The next prayer day will be held on Wednesday 4th September 2019.
  • Generally on Wednesday evenings at 8:00pm (alternate months), the next meeting will be held on 16th October 2019

Today, Lord, we pray for our children, as they leave summer behind and begin another school year.

We pray the Word of God over each one of them:

  • overall their steps - may You be a lamp for their feet and a light for their path;
  • over all their friendships - may they choose their friends wisely and may their friends refresh their souls;
  • over all their challenges - may they remember You are in their midst, the Mighty One Who saves, Who rejoices over them and Who quiets them by Your love;
  • over all their decisions may they trust in and acknowledge You, Lord, and not lean on their own understanding;
  • over all their influence - may they do everything in love, Lord, as You have loved them;
  • over all their trials - may they be strong and courageous, remembering that You go with them and will not leave or forsake them - You are their refuge and fortress;
  • over all their triumphs - may they always give thanks to You, Lord, Who gives victory through Christ Jesus.

Through every day, Lord, may they remember the privilege of an education as they dwell in Your shelter and rest in Your shadow, for You are the almighty God and Your Word stands for ever.

Prayer for the street

prayer for the street

This is an organised initiative for us to gather the needs and requests of our community and pray for them on a monthly basis.

House to house visits are generally made on the 3rd Sunday of each month, with the resulting prayer requests brought before the church service on the following Sunday morning. Our next visits will be on
Sunday 15th September 2019 at 3:00pm.

Please contact us if you would like to be involved.
