Stonechurch FC was formed in 2009 by a few church members who decided to combine their enthusiasm for football with the challenge to find more ways to make the gospel of Jesus Christ accessible and relevant to men in the 21st century.

The aim therefore is to have fun and to enjoy playing football but most importantly to also create opportunities to share the gospel. This is not always easy within a competitive sporting environment where poor habits and over competitiveness for many of our players will have been established over many years. However, with time and prayer and patience (and more time!) they do begin to see there is a difference both in how we run this team and in the league in which we take part.

It quickly became apparent that the team needed to compete in the over 35s, or Veterans, category and we are part of the largest and longest running Christian Football League in the country with as many as 30 teams taking part across four divisions.

football action Stonechurch FC was blessed with a league championship in our first season and being the winners of the National Veterans Football Cup in our second year. In 2013 we again got to the final of this competition but were soundly beaten 4-0 by Cornerstone Church from Croydon.

In 2014 we won the league title and reached the finals of the League Cup and the National Veterans Cup (having defeated the previous year's winners in the semi-final).

The team really appreciates any support you can give, from cheering us on from the sidelines to praying for us and the connections being made.

All home games are played at Nescot Sports Centre, 2pm kick off, just behind Ewell East Station with the entrance just off Banstead Road.

The match fixtures list and league tables are included on the Southern Area Christian Football League (League) website.
